Principles and logical applications of homoeopathy

Today morning we will try to perceive the principles and logical applications of Homoeopathy not only in the first prescription which will react positively but also in the second prescription considering the following fact in continuation of previous post. We would take up our profession as a mission rather than passion as it desired by our Great Master Samuel Hahnemann who said in His ” THE LESSER WRITINGS ” “The patient relates the history of his ailments, those about him describe what they have observed in him, the physician sees, hears, feels, & etc., all that there is of an altered or unusual character about him, and notes down each particular in its order, so that he may form an accurate picture of the disease. The chief signs are those symptoms that are most constant, most striking, and most annoying to the patient. He requests the patient to describe again his exact sensations, the exact course of the symptoms, the exact seat of his sufferings, and bids the attendant once more detail, in as accurate terms as they are able, the changes they have observed in the patient” Now the physician will certainly apply his skills and experience in forming a true picture of the case after evaluation, verification and analysis of each symptom, considering disease classification, age, sex, stage of the disease, previous treatment, history of any suppression to construct case anamnesis prescribing most correctly after cross matching which reacted as desired. There are many important things to consider about the dose & repetition, scale of potency, susceptibility of the patient, seat of the disease, stage and duration of the disease to avoid violent aggravation keeping in mind about the significance of Homoeopathic aggravation, disease aggravation or drug reaction due to wrong medication. We are fully aware about the logic of second prescription after correct observations where record keeping is most essential for proper follow ups, evaluation & subsequent steps as Dr. J. T. Kent detailed in His monumental twelve observations. ” In general, if the first prescription has had a beneficial reaction, that remedy should be allowed to complete its work to the fullest extent. In such conditions, the second prescription would be a repetition of the first ; and since a remedy should not be changed without good reasons, but may be repeated at the necessary intervals through a whole range of potency. If there is no interference with the action of the remedy, the indications which give us the clue to our next step will present themselves. If the remedy is administered at this stage we will find an intermingling of drug symptoms, so that no intelligent prescription can be made. Another class of cases we must consider are those that present a number of new symptoms which appear to take the place of the old symptoms. In these conditions we must restudy the case entirely – and find if new symptoms that have appeared are in the pathogenesis of the remedy. If they are not in the pathogenesis of the remedy, we have made a mistake in the first prescription, it has changed the direction of the disease. Here we must antidote the remedy. After having given the antidote and a little time for the patient to rest , we should study the case again from the beginning; and the second remedy should correspond more particularly to the new symptoms than to the old, but both the present symptoms and former symptoms must be considered. A safe rule for procedure is : WHEN IN DOUBT,WAIT. In other words never leave a constitutional remedy, that has proven similimum for a considerable period , until you have extracted from it all the benefits. Then, and only then , are you justified in changing the remedy. It quite possible that in making a second prescription we may find the similimum to be complementary to the first prescription. We must try to perceive the totality in each consultation keeping in mind the active miasm, passive miasm, suppression by Antibiotics and steroids, or even by Homoeopathic polypharmacy, over dosing not matching the core of the patient. Only then we must consult our authentic books to proceed logically, systematically and justifiably to a most correct choice of remedy in proper potency and doses. I like to conclude today with some case presentation where a complex miasms at background treated successfully where even fourth prescription needed in some most difficult cases .(my statement read by me about first prescription in
